FAQ
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Ordering takes four steps. Choose a product on the shop page or via the search function and check the photos, information and price on the product page.
Enter the desired quantity and click "Add to cart" – your items will appear in your cart at the top right.
Go to the checkout page and fill in your personal and contact details; you can also enter a different delivery address here.
Finally, choose your shipping method, check the shipping costs and total price, and complete payment. You will then receive an order confirmation by email.
Do I need an account to place an order?
Probably not: you can normally order as a guest, without creating an account in advance. Creating an account is useful though, as it lets you view your order history and check out faster next time.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Please contact customer service as soon as possible via info@chocolatenation.be or +32 (0)3 207 08 08. Orders are usually shipped as early as the next working day, so the window to change or cancel is short. Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled – the return procedure then applies.
Can I place an order from abroad?
Yes. The webshop currently ships to Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden. If your country isn't listed, please contact customer service.
Can I get an invoice for my order?
After your purchase you will automatically receive an order confirmation by email. If you need a separate (e.g. business) invoice with VAT details, please contact customer service.
Delivery
Which countries do you ship to?
Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden.
What are the shipping costs?
Not included in the product price; automatically calculated at checkout based on destination and weight/size.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are usually shipped the next working day. We deliberately never ship over the weekend, to avoid chocolate sitting in warm delivery vans. Actual delivery time after shipping depends on the destination.
Can I have my order delivered to a different address?
Yes, you can enter a different delivery address during checkout.
Can I track my order?
You will normally receive a track & trace link by email after shipping.
What happens if I'm not home for delivery?
Depending on the carrier, your parcel will either be redelivered or brought to a nearby pickup point. Check your track & trace for the most up-to-date information about your delivery and the next steps.
Do you also ship during hot summer months?
Yes, all year round, including summer. We deliberately never ship over the weekend so chocolate doesn't sit in warm delivery vans, and parcels are carefully packed with protective material.
Products
Which Belgian chocolate brands can I find at Chocolate Nation Shop?
A wide selection: Andes, Balance, Baru, Café-Tasse, Carré, Choc You, Côte d'Or, Dolfin, Guylian, Hamlet, Jacques, Leonidas, Louis D'Anvers, Neuhaus, complemented by our own Chocolate Nation Collection. See "Brands" for our full current range.
Do you sell exclusive products that aren't available in regular stores?
Yes – the Chocolate Nation Collection (callets, bars, pralines from our own atelier, bean-to-bar) is exclusively available at Chocolate Nation.
Are all products and brands in the webshop also available in the physical stores? / vice versa?
Not always. Our range can differ between the webshop and our physical stores. Some products, for example, are seasonal, available online only, limited in stock, or only available in-store.
Are there vegan, halal or sugar-free products available?
Yes. Our range includes several options for specific dietary preferences, including vegan chocolate and chocolate without added sugar.
We don't currently have a separate halal category, so please always check the ingredient and product information for the specific item, or contact us if you have any questions about this.
What's the best way to store Belgian chocolate?
Store chocolate in a cool, dry place, ideally between 15 and 18°C, away from direct sunlight and strongly scented products. Avoid the fridge if possible. Is it very warm? In that case, store the chocolate tightly wrapped in the fridge to prevent moisture and discolouration (‘bloom’).
What makes Chocolate Nation Shop different from other chocolate shops?
Chocolate Nation Shop is the webshop of Chocolate Nation, the largest Belgian chocolate museum in the world, in Antwerp. We share the same passion for Belgian chocolate tradition and bring it straight to you, with a carefully curated range of the best-known and best-loved Belgian brands.
